Art Haws may be one of HawsGoodwin Wealth’s leaders, but he most enjoys working directly with affluent clients, corporate executives, business owners and institutions in virtually every aspect of investment strategy and planning, helping make goals happen.

Art holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management, where he was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international business honor society. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Murray State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional.

Prior to co-founding HawsGoodwin Wealth, Art served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. Art began his career with Equitable Securities Corporation, where he was a Vice President within the Institutional Municipal Bond Sales and Trading group. Art then served as Vice President of the Investment Division for Independence Trust Company, a privately held trust company based in Franklin, Tennessee. Art also served on the company’s Board of Directors.

A Leadership Franklin graduate, Art has served on the boards of the Historic Carnton Plantation and the Battle of Franklin Trust. He is a past member of the Nashville Estate Planning Council. Art has also been featured or quoted on investment topics for a range of financial publications, and, always loyal to his home base, Art has had multiple articles published in local papers.

Art especially enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid music fan and guitar player and was once told by a Nashville music executive not to quit his day job. Art also enjoys running and golfing.

Cam Goodwin is a realist. He sees a direct correlation between client success and the firm’s progress. Since co-founding the firm in 2008, Cam has seen it grow exponentially thanks to lasting client relationships.

Cam began his career as Vice President of Investments with Independence Trust Company, a privately held trust company based in Franklin, Tennessee. Prior to co-founding HawsGoodwin Wealth, Cam served in Merrill Lynch’s Global Private Client Group. Cam is also an accomplished writer; his equity research reports and commentary have been published by Motley Fool, an international media company with an editorial focus on financial reporting and investing.

Cam received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Mississippi and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Belmont University in Nashville. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. In addition, Cam received the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) credential from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). Plan advisors who earn their CPFA obtain the expertise required to act as a plan fiduciary or help plan fiduciaries manage their roles and responsibilities.

Cam and his wife, Beth, are both native to Franklin, Tennessee and have seen all of the growth that this great area has experienced over the years firsthand. Cam and Beth love going on family adventures and vacations with their daughter, Gracey. Outside of wealth management, Cam’s favorite activities are golf, hunting, and simply being outdoors.

Lauryn is an integral firm steward to our clients, assisting new clients with onboarding, helping existing clients with ongoing process and maintenance, and managing the client experience at HawsGoodwin Wealth.

Lauryn received her bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Belmont University and as an undergraduate was involved with organizations such as Grammy U and Service Corp.

Prior to joining the firm, Lauryn served as Reporting Coordinator/Licensing Administrator with SESAC, where she processed music licensing for business entities, corresponding with consultants and establishment owners in reference to licensing structure, fees and formats. She has also worked for Franklin American Mortgage as a Retail Operation Support Specialist and as a VA/FHA Government Underwriter Specialist.

Outside of the office, Lauryn can be found watching her sister sing at the world famous honky tonk bars on Lower Broadway, or volunteering on the guest experience team at Crosspoint Community Church. She enjoys playing tennis, horseback riding, music, traveling, and exploring new restaurants in Nashville. Lauryn’s family lives here in Franklin, so you may also spot her walking around downtown Franklin with their dog, Maddie.

Lisa Butler

Director of Client Relationships

Lisa Butler is a seasoned service advocate, committed to ensuring all aspects of operations and client management at HawsGoodwin Wealth run smoothly and in harmony. As Lisa puts it, “My passion is connecting with clients so that they feel confident in my expertise and in my understanding of their values. I am committed to ensuring requests are properly and thoroughly executed. Building trust with our clients is important to me. We want them to know their interests are being cared for by our entire firm.”

Lisa received her B.B.A. in Business Administration, and her Certificate in Financial Planning, from Belmont University. Prior to joining HawsGoodwin Wealth, Lisa served as Revenue Manager in the treasury department at Corrections Corporation of America, where she managed short term cash.

Lisa’s work with animals and volunteering are highlights of her compassionate personality. She is a volunteer trainer for service dogs with Retrieving Independence; she also volunteers at the Cat Shoppe Rescue and Dress for Success. Lisa is a member of the Middle Tennessee Society of Human Resources. When she’s not volunteering, you might find her spending time with her grandson, hitting golf balls at the driving range, or working in the flower garden.

Tom Weatherman champions employee benefits. He is responsible for ensuring our corporate clients receive unparalleled employee benefit services.

Tom received his B.S. from Lipscomb University. Prior to joining HawsGoodwin Wealth, Tom served as employee benefits manager for Integro, an international insurance brokerage. Previously, Tom was vice president, sales manager, and producer at Gale Smith and Company, a Brentwood-based insurance agency acquired by A.J. Gallagher in 2008. Tom has also held sales and management positions with Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee, and Cigna.

When not spearheading planning, consulting, and compliance initiatives on behalf of HawsGoodwin Wealth’s clients, Tom’s life revolves around his family. He and his wife Jan, both middle Tennessee natives, spend the majority of their spare time with their children, who reside in Franklin. Tom and Jan are active in their church and various charities around town.

Caroline Galbraith prefers to be directly involved with the concepts and causes she champions. Wealth management is the perfect career fit, as it allows her to be a trusted partner and sounding board for her clients, working together to build strategies for success.

Caroline graduated Cum Laude with her B.S. from the University of Memphis, and earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Belmont University’s Scarlett Leadership Institute. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNINGTM practitioner. Caroline is currently enrolled in the Yale School of Management’s Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) certification program. Caroline began her financial advisory career at Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management in 2004, before moving to SunTrust Investment Services in 2007, where she served as assistant vice president and advisor until joining HawsGoodwin Wealth in 2015.

With regards to community involvement, Caroline is an avid proponent of promoting and elevating women in business. Caroline is Co-Chair of the Women in Pension Nashville Chapter, a past Board member for FemCity Nashville, and is a proud supporter and volunteer for Dress for Success, a global nonprofit that provides professional attire for low-income women to support their job search and interview process. Caroline has also been a contributing writer to the Nashville Business Journal and the Tennessee CPA Journal. When not working, writing, or volunteering, Caroline can be found trying out the newest restaurants to open in Nashville, traveling the globe, playing golf (anywhere), and beaming with pride at the mention of her 4 successful young adult children.
